Jacqueline Woon
Jacqueline graduated from Multimedia University with a Bachelor of Law (Honours) in 2014. Upon graduation, she began her pupillage at Messrs. Leon & Lim under the guidance of Mr Julian Leon Moon Wan and was called to the Bar, being admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in May 2015.
Jacqueline gained extensive exposure to the practices of real estate and project development while working at Messrs. Halim Hong & Quek with Datin Chong Lee Hui. Jacqueline has represented major developers and completed sale and purchase transactions and loan documentations for urban and township developments, as well as several mixed commercial and residential developments. She also advises financial institutions on all matters pertaining to financing transactions, from preparation to completion of loan documentations of corporate financing, Islamic financing, commercial facilities and property financing and refinancing arrangements.
Jacqueline continues to maintain her legal practice in the area of real estate and project development. She is regularly sought by major developers for advice from the initial stages of the projects and township development, specifically on master plans, architect’s drawings, building specifications and compliance. Jacqueline also has experience in providing advice on the submission and amendment of parcels and amendments to building plans.
Furthermore, Jacqueline regularly advises developers, joint management bodies and management corporations on strata regulatory matters as well as post vacant possession matter. Jacqueline also advises and represents individuals in acquisition and disposal of their properties, drafting sub-sale agreements to perfection of transfer documentations.
In the area of Banking and Finance, Jacqueline regularly advises financial institutions in property finance, including drawdown and the perfection of their loan documentations for both conventional and Islamic financing facilities.

Jacqueline has previously appeared as counsel in Malaysian Courts for matrimonial proceedings, general litigation, banking litigation and matters related to debt recovery, torts, land and administration of estates.

Successfully represented property developers in concluding sale transactions in a number of townships developments in Bangi, Cyberjaya, Klang Valley & award-winning project developments, as well as an integrated development with both residential and commercial components comprising retails shops, SOVO, SOHO, SOFO and serviced apartment.

Acted and advised a Malaysian Company on the land matter relating temporary occupying licence on Cameron Highlands.

Acted and advised on Transit Oriented Development (TOD) in Pudu area by a well-known housing developer which has a gross development value of RM1.2 billion including advising on matters relating to Sale and Purchase Agreement and Deed of Mutual Covenants.

Acted and advised a well-known housing developer for several project developments involving residential and commercial properties in Kuala Lumpur area which has a gross development value of RM2.2 billion.

Acted and advised a property developer in their acquisition of a land located in Selangor for the consideration of RM31 million.

Acted for a local client for the disposal of a hotel building in Kuala Lumpur for a total consideration of RM32 million.
